I am soooo happy to get this. What does this mean? Does this mean that I have arrived as a Blogger? I don't know. Free DC Back to School Health Festival. Its almost that time for children to go back to school in DC. Its seems like it was just yesterday that most children were out of school for the summer. Time flies I tell you. Anyway Unison Health Plan of the Capital Area by United Health Care presents Two-Day Back to School Connected Care Family Health Festival that will include an 18 wheel United Healthcare Connected Care Mobile Health Clinic that will showcase Telehealth Technology.

First day events include Immunizations,Back to school supplies and healthy cooking demonstrations and giveaways.

Second day events include March of Dimes "Mama & Baby Bus" with HIV Testing and Pregnancy Counseling,Diabetes risk assessments,BMI Screenings along with some Back to school supplies.

On August 18,the March of Dimes "Mama & Baby Bus" will be at the D.C Department of Parks and Recreation to administer blood pressure and dental screenings,HIV testing and pregnancy counseling.

Both events will be from 8:00am-5:00pm at the United Medical Center on Tuesday and at 1310 Southern Avenue SE Washington DC 20032 and at D.C Department of Parks and Recreation 3149 16th Street NW Washington DC 20010 on Wednesday.

So parents if you have an teenager children,please bring them out to the Free DC Back to School Health Festival. And if you know anyone who needs this,please tell them to come out. You don't have to pay. It is free.

I want to personally thank the Unison Health Plan of the Capital Area Inc. for providing this free DC Back to School Health Festival for the community. This is something that people need but some people either can't afford it or don't know about how to get it. If we take better steps in improving our health,we will live a long and healthy life and be able to spend and enjoy our time here on earth with our family members,loved ones and friends.

      What are your daily affirmations? What is a affirmation? Affirmations are short,positive,present tense statements that define a state of being or a desired result. Repetitive exposure to an an affirmation builds belief. This year I am doing it more now.

       Throughout history great avatars,leaders and achievers have harmoniously trumpeted one pointed fact of reality concerning human accomplishment that is irrevocable. You are what you think about,you become what you conceive in your mind. If you can believe it,you can achieve it.

      Someone told me about Napoleon Hill's book "Think and Grow Rich",( I haven't read the book yet but I plan on doing so soon ). He said that "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe,the mind can achieve". Like they say,"As a man thinketh in his heart so is he."

      I always listen to a CD by Steve Morris-Founder and C.E.O of Exit Realty. It has been very helpful for me. But here are some of my daily affirmations:

1. Failure is a way for me to modify my approach that I can achieve success.

2. Nothing is impossible to accomplish if you believe that you can do it.

3. I am a champion.

4. I am a leader.

5. I am a winner because I am winning.

6. I am a multi-billion top producing real estate professional.

7. I will live and not die.

8. I am a overcomer.

9, I am going to live my best life now starting today.

10. If I fail to plan,I plan to fail.

11. Lord I pray that you decrease me so that you can increase me.

This one is more like a question to myself

12. ***What I am doing everyday to make my business "bigger and better?"***

13. I have a will to win everyday.

14. There is a King in me.

These are just some of my daily affirmations.

     If you don't have one,I advise you to please make one and practice it daily. Once you start doing it daily,it suddenly becomes programmed in your mind. I have failed at many things,I am sure we all have. For the past 17 years,Network Events,Inc. (NEI) and NBC4 have partnered together to produce and promote the 17th annual NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo. This year it will be held on January 16 and 17 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

This free to the public event is expected to draw tens of thousands of attendees. This is a great event for anyone who wants to get a free health tests and gain information for you,loved one or friend. Attendees also get to participae in a variety of interactive sports and activities that are fun for the whole family.

Attendees will enjoy Healthy Cooking demonstrations, soccer, rock climbing, a community blood drive, and many more activities that are designed to engage and entertain. This expo is expecting around 85,000 people from the Washington Metropolitan area.

Surveys at last year's Washington DC NBC 4Health & Fitness Expo indicated that:

• 91% of attendees said they would recommend the Expo to a friend next year,
• 88% had health insurance,
• 69% said they were more likely to consider Expo sponsors in their health options after their Expo experience,
• 67% had a household income of over $50,000, and 30% had a household income of over $100,000.
