DC Anacostia Real Estate Market Report Zip code 20020 for April 2009

Probably one of the most asked question in America is "When will the Real Estate Market fully recover?" I like to say that the only person who can answer that question is God. Because honestly speaking no one knows. What I definitely know is that once Financial Markets fully recovers,the economy stablizes and the trust of consumers/hard working citizens who lost their jobs and savings have been gained,then maybe the Real Estate Market will start to recover-That's just my .02 cent.

But DC Anacostia Real Estate Market zip code for April 2009 was better than last month. Numbers increased all across the board. From Total Sold Dollar Volume to Units sold,the numbers this month was better than it was in April 2008 which is good news. So is this a great time to buy in DC Anacostia? Yes. DC Anacostia Real Estate Market Report (Zip code 20020)- March 2009

DC Anacostia Real Estate Market Report for March 2008 is here (Sorry it took me forever to report it). Just like all of my other real estate market reports,houses for sale in DC Anacostia are taking a little longer to sell now unlike March 2008.

In March 2009,it took 112 days for it to be sold compared to 84 days this same time last year- a 33.33% increase. But the good news is that 9 houses for sale in Anacostia DC sold in March 2009 compared to March 2008-a whomping 125% increase. (If only all the real estate markets in U.S.A can be like that). Also the total sold dollar volume was $2,065,949 compared to $1,160,00 in March 2008- a 78% increase.

And unlike DC home buyers who are using a FHA loan product to buy their house,home buyers in DC Anacostia used a conventional loan.

DC Mayor Adrian Fenty is hogging Washington Nationals baseball Tickets. Why?

If you live either outside of Anacostia DC or Washington DC,you probably don't know about this story.

DC Mayor Adrian Fenty is hogging tickets to the professional baseball team Washington Nationals that was supposed to be given to DC Council members.

DC Mayor Adrian Fenty tried to give some of the tickets to some of the council members who he likes. But in a show of unity,all of them refused to accept the tickets.

Council member Vincent Gray (D) said that he was supposed to get 19 tickets for the Washington Nationals home opener. Heck can I just get one ticket? I have never been to a baseball game before. (Little MeMe information?) Anyway what I didn't know that DC Mayor Adrian Fenty hogged tickets last year as well until Attorney General Peter Nickles had to get involved and deliver the tickets to the DC council. But once again DC Mayor Fenty is not giving up the tickets.

So what do you all think? Do you think DC Mayor Adrian Fenty is wrong for hogging the tickets? And if he is not going to give the tickets to DC Council members,what do you think he should do with the tickets? Active Rain's Valparaiso Indiana Real Estate Agents were on ABC TV Show "Nightline"

Nightline is a news magazine show on ABC that I try to watch whenever I am up or not doing anything. Yesterday Active Rain's Valparaiso Indiana Real Estate Agents Jeff and Grace Safin of F.C Tucker Company in Valparaiso,Indiana were on the show.

On the show they shared a technique called "reverse offer",a move that helped them sell 50% of their homes they tried the method with in 2008. So what is a reverse offer? Here how it works.

Once a home has a second showing,the couple gathers as much feedback as possible from the buyer's agent and works with their client to come up with an offer to present to the buyer. Anything could potentially be on the table such as price,closing cost assistance,home warranty,moving time frame and appliances. It depends on what it might take to get the buyer. Reverse offer gives the home buyer the ball in their court.

In this real estate market,you have to be very creative in order to succeed and stand out from the fierce competition. Hopefully this technique will help realtors sell more of their houses and help stimulate the housing market.
