Things to do in Washington DC: Freebie of the day-Give

Freebie of the day-Give

In these very tough economic times, many of us are facing some trials and tribulations. People losing their jobs, people losing most or all of their assets in their investment portfolio, people can't sell their houses, people can't buy a house (even though some of them have a job and good credit),people have lost faith in the Government, loved one who is sick or dying-The list goes on and on. I'll like to meet the person who isn't dealing with some kind of problem.

But also at the same time,we should try and do something to encourage and help one another inspite of any problem that we are going through or facing. It is very easy to help someone in need when things are clicking in every area of your life. But how kind and helpful are you when all hell has break loose? I think that is a good way to determine what kind of person we really are.

One thing I have learned in life is that there are many blessings in giving with not expecting anything in return. I have learned to give and not expect anything back in return. What I want back in return, can no human being give it to me. It is intangible. I want to give so that God will always remember me. But also we should give because it is something God always wants us to do and it is something that we should always do. Giving without expecting anything in return opens up many doors for you to receive God's blessing. God is still in the business of blessing his children.

Praying for someone is a great way to give. There is power in prayer. Many scriptures in the bible talks about giving. One is James 1:5 which says that "If any of you lack wisdom,he should ask God,who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. We all need wisdom to make better wise decisions in life and avoid making and repeating mistakes. Another scripture is Corinthians 1 15:57 that says "But thanks be to God!  He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I admit sometimes I am down and feel discouraged. But I thank God for giving me victory and ability to overcome things that I thought I couldn't conquer. And one thing that we should always do is give thanks to God for making us an overcomer and blessing us beyond our wildest dreams. I don't know what you are going through but if you always give thanks and praise God regardless of what you are going through,he will always make a way and come through for you. He might not come when you need him but our God is a on time God. No matter what you are going through always remember Corinthians 1 15:57. You already have the victory. You are a winner and superstar in God's kingdom. Give thanks to God for giving you victory.

Amen.  Giving back to the community that has given us our businesses seems very necessary at this time.

We realtors receive so much from our community it is a privelege to "give back" and, yes, I pray daily

That's why we're here . . . to give.  It took me 50 years to realize it, but that's the answer.

It's so much better to GIVE than receive.  You are a blessing Lanre... who we have ALWAYS seen in AR as a giver.  My prayer today for YOU.... is that God GIVES YOU the desires of your heart... shortly!
