Things to do in Washington DC: HELP WITH SOME REAL ESTATE INVESTING BOOKS/CD-ROMS/DVD'S. ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?

HELP WITH SOME REAL ESTATE INVESTING BOOKS/CD-ROMS/DVD'S. ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?

Right now, I am reading a Real Estate Investing for Dummies - It is a very good read so far. But I want to know if any one of you have read, reading or listening to any good books or cd's on the topic "Real Estate Investing" I say that because it looks like a lot of books in bookstores now are like infomercial so I don't even bother with them. I really don't know much about real estate investing that's why I am reading the Dummies book. I am thinking of also joining a Real Estate Investing Club and possibly take a class. Any comments? Please let me know.

Here are two books that are very good for the subjects.

Both are in print and audio

Hi,

You should read the Millionaire Real Estate Investor.  Anything by Robert Kyosaki on investing would be good.  We have some great investment opportunity in Panama City, Florida.  Property values are expected to rise with the building of our new international airport which will create a tremendous amount of job here.  Shoot me an email at jeff.payne@kw.com and I'll see if I can get a copy of the Millionaire book for you.  We have a few copies at the office.

Rob - Thanks a lot. Someone told me about the Millionaire Real Estate Investor.

Jeff - Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it. I would definitely e-mail you so that I can get that free copy if possible.

Lanre, a great book that I read earlier this year is "Building Wealth One House at a Time" by John Schaub.  Highly recommended!

Hi Lanre,

There are many good books out there to choose from. Go to the Active Rain Book club and look around http://activerain.com/groups/chicbookclub I'm also getting ready to list all of the Real Estate Investor books that I have in my personally library very soon. They will be posted there as well as in a new group I just created on Virginia Real Estate Investor Forum http://activerain.com/groups/virginiarealestateinvestorforum

Real Estate investing is a broad term...is there a topic you are interested in particular?
