Fill your saltshaker with a low or no sodium salt or replace it with herbs and spices. Growing evidence shows that substances in herbs and spices may fight cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. The taste for salt is partly hard-wired,but mostly learned or acquired. Train your taste buds to be satisfied with less salt. Gradually cut back on salt in favor of lemon, pepper, vinegar, herbs and spices. Over time, you might rediscover the true flavor of food and the supper sizzle that herbs and spices have to offer.

I'm not a big salt user, depend on herbs and spices a lot. Good advice.
Salt substitute (potassium chloride) is good for people who need to lower their sodium intake. It is mildly radioactive though. That is a matter of concern to some people.
Kotambu - I agree with you bro. We definitely need to cut back on our salt intake. Thanks for responding to my post.
Patricia -Woman,I did not know that. Thank you for teaching me that. Woman you know every thing.
Cynthia - Neither am I. But sugar, that is another story. I am getting better though.
Eric - Thank you for teaching me that. I would definitely keep that in mind.
Donna - Hello donna. I am trying to be like you superstar.
Jennifer - That is great that you don't keep a salt shaker on the table. I know you don't go to the Hospital a lot because you eat very healthy.
Just don't use POTASSIUM Salt substitutes without the OK from your doctor as it can effect your Heart & Electrolyte Balance :)
Sincerely,
Grace Safrin
