While searching on Twitter,I came across an article that I found pretty interesting and hopefully helpful for young first time homebuyers in Washington DC.
Washington DC made the list of one of the top ten cities for young people. Young adults have two things when your working for Uncle Sam. And that is a big paycheck and job security.
Many up and coming neighborhoods in the District of Columbia such as Columbia Heights,Shaw-Howard,H Street Corridor and NoMa which all have bars, restaurants and music venues. And of course Washington, D.C has long been one of the nation's strongest housing markets, buoyed by stable employment. The Federal Government has about 300,000 people employed in the District of Columbia. It provides steady work for big-name contractors, trade associations and lobbying groups.
It must be booming there in DC. Good to kown if you are young and mobil.
Hi Lanre, I checked to see if any California cities were in the top 10....No luck, we were shut out..
Good morning, Lanre.....good information....I wish Boston was on that list!!!
Lanre, I see why they call you the real estate farmer! You really know your areas like the back of your hand. Buyers should think seriously about purchasing their first home or moving up to a larger home, because house price are at an all-time low. Great article, thanks for posting.
