Things to do in Washington DC: PLEASE GET SOME REST EVERY WEEK

PLEASE GET SOME REST EVERY WEEK

I know a lot of us real estate professionals who don't have a team work at least 40 hours or week. But we know that you need your rest. One thing I have learned in life is that you are your best investment. Without your good  heatlth, you can't do such things as work and provide for your loved ones.

I know that in order to achieve success, you need to work hard, but it shouldn't risk you losing your good health. Its always good to work but too much work is not good for you. I mean,if we don't work,we can't feed our family. So if you work a lot, especially over 40 hours a week and/or six days a week.please rest at least one day out of the week. We are supposed to rest on sundays and spend time with family and friends as well as using that day to plan for the upcoming week.

Resting as we all know reduces our chance of getting any kind of illness, sickness or health problems. Resting will only add more years for you to enjoy life on this earth. So re-examine your schedule and free up time to do things that you love doing such as going to movies,a play, theatre, play sports or go for a walk and think. Think about life, family, friends, goals, dreams etc. Make the best of your life on earth now while you still can. You only live life once.

I wish I only worked 40 hours a week! I am a 24/7 Loan Officer and usually work 8:30am to 1am every day. It is holidays that give me my rest. I am thankful for this Monday off!!!

I have a NO SUNDAYS rule. I will work 12 hours a day 6 days a week. Sundays are golden to me. Now I'm not super religious, and I don't even attend church services regularly, so it's not religion. But if we don't set some rules and set aside time for us and time for our family, that part of our lives will suffer. I will do anything for my agents and my clients Monday -- Saturday. Sunday is MY DAY. And I have broken this rule, but EVERY TIME I break it, I regret it. And it's usually not the emergency it sounds like when the call comes in.

Lanre,  Thanks for the reminder.  The sad thing for me is my family time can be just as busy as my work day.  But it is worth it.

I'm not one to set an actual day off, but I do make sure to schedule down time each week, and a couple of vacations a year.  I'm working far more than 40 hours per week though, that's for sure.

Lanre, Rest is very important to our well being and is also good for our client's because we can usually provide better service when we are not too worn out.

Endea-We definitely need rest. In this business, you need all the rest that you can get.

Kurt - I know this business takes a lot of us. But we need to start setting more time aside for ourselves and loved ones.

Mott - I feel even now I have to work even harder and longer because buyers these days are so hard to get.

Adam - Anytime my man. It is very important to get some rest. I hear a lot of stories of how people spend to much time working making lots of money only to lose their family. I don't care how much you make, anything is not worth losing your family over.

Erica - Sundays is my day to rest. After I come back from church, that is it for me. I am resting to prepare for the week.

Ryan -You might be working over 40 hours a week. But at least you are take vacations. You are doing better than me.

Matt - Thanks matt. I am just trying to practice what I preach. Sometimes I want to work. But I have to remember to stick to what I say I am going to start doing more which is rest on Sundays.

Jennifer - Absolutely. Rest is great for both us and our clients. I think if our clients see that we are well rested and have a lot of energy and full of life, they are going to be more than willing to work with us.

Lanre - I like your suggestions however I would like to suggest that not only do you need to put time every week away  but I believe that you need to put a little bit of time every day for yourself and your family.
