Things to do in Washington DC: What are your daily affirmations?

What are your daily affirmations?

What are your daily affirmations? What is a affirmation? Affirmations are short, positive, present tense statements that define a state of being or a desired result. Repetitive exposure to an an affirmation builds belief. This year I am doing it more now.

Throughout history great avatars, leaders and achievers have harmoniously trumpeted one pointed fact of reality concerning human accomplishment that is irrevocable. You are what you think about, you become what you conceive in your mind. If you can believe it,you can achieve it.

Someone told me about Napoleon Hill's book "Think and Grow Rich",( I haven't read the book yet but I plan on doing so soon ). He said that "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve". Like they say,"As a man thinketh in his heart so is he."

I always listen to a CD by Steve Morris-Founder and C.E.O of Exit Realty. It has been very helpful for me. But here are some of my daily affirmations:

1. Failure is a way for me to modify my approach that I can achieve success.

2. Nothing is impossible to accomplish if you believe that you can do it.

3. I am a champion.

4. I am a leader.

5. I am a winner because I am winning.

6. I am a multi-billion top producing real estate professional.

7. I will live and not die.

8. I am a overcomer.

9, I am going to live my best life now starting today.

10. If I fail to plan,I plan to fail.

11. Lord I pray that you decrease me so that you can increase me.

This one is more like a question to myself

12. ***What I am doing everyday to make my business "bigger and better?"***

13. I have a will to win everyday.

14. There is a King in me.

These are just some of my daily affirmations.

If you don't have one,I advise you to please make one and practice it daily. Once you start doing it daily,it suddenly becomes programmed in your mind. I have failed at many things,I am sure we all have. BUT I WILL NEVER ACCEPT FAILURE.  If you have any daily affirmations, please feel free to share it with me.

And here is a video that I found on Youtube that I will like to share with you. Hope you find it inspiring like I did.

I have a BUNCH of affirmations, some of which you have listed above.  What I have done is placed them on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper and on the cover of the notebook I use for my daily activiities.  I am always looking at it, and reading a different affirmation. It's great!

Hi Lanre,  I prefer to have only positive words in my affirmations.  That would be my suggestion.  Re phrase what you are saying and "don't....not....never....fail...etc..." should be out of there.  Your mind doesn't hear negative things, so keep it positive.  Good luck :)

Eric - I don't know all the posts that have been posted here. Have I read a similar post before? Yes. However, everybody is different. You might see something totally different from the same thing that I would've read. Thanks for your comments.

Chris - I also have some of them programmed in my PDA. So it is kind of acts like a remainder daily affirmation for me.Thanks for your comments.

Christina - THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Sorry that I used caps. I did that just to show you how much I really appreciate that great advice. Thanks for your comments.

Nice blog. Yes I do them daily. In the morning I jump up, throw on my sweats, and head striaght to the gym "recommended", saying out loud in my truck at leaset 10-15 times till I hit the gym   "I'm a magnet and anybody who is buying or selling a home can not resist me"

When I get to the gym, after stretching I say as I'm lifting and doing cardio, BTW works great with cardio from Anthony Robbins "Everyday in everyway I'm getting stronger and stronger"

As I'm coming back home repeat first affirmation.... ANyway, great post..... Much Success.

John -They say that you should repeat the same affirmation three times a day. At after like forty days, you are going to see more clearer what you want to become. Thank you very much for commenting.

Is 3 times a magic number?? I ask because I AM NOT an expert on this but heard soemwhere that you do them 10 times a day. I just thought I'd speed it up and do 40-50 a day :-). Am I defeating the purpose??
Posted by John Disque, "Buy or List with Disque" (RealtyUSA) over 11 years ago

Eric - the posts are similar but I would not say a "re-post" Lanre went way beyond the post you cite. Lanre gave many, many specific examples of HIS affirmations.

Lanre - Nice list. I especially like: I have a will to win everyday

Eric - That's a good question. But the CD that I listen to everyday by Steve Morris called "Born to be Exceptional" which is an hour and ten minutes, every affirmation he says it three times each. I wouldn't recommend 40-50 times a day. That can be overkill. But when you do it for like 40-50 days straight,it becomes programmed in your head and you start to vision and believe it even more. I hope that helps. Thanks for your comments

Debbie -Hi Debbie! Thanks for the comments. I really appreciate that.  I am glad that you like I have a will to win everyday. In this real estate market,I need all the encouragement that I can get. Thanks for your comments.

Hi Lanre, one that I use is "I am more than I appear to be, all the strength and power of this universe rests inside of me."

I, too, have drunk the EXIT kool-aid, but I want to caution you about just using someone else's affirmations.  They just may not work for you. YOu need to spend time assessing the aspects of your life and your character that will benefit from deeply held affirmations.  Standing in a field of weeds, it won't matter that your affirmation is for perfect green grass.  Affirmations take effort that builds on your personal goals.  It is all about you in terms of affirmations.

Hi Lanre, I don't have daily affirmations, but I do believe that we become what we think -- always trying to keep it positive!

Lanre: Those are great affirmations. My number one affirmation would have to be "I CAN remember to do my daily affirmations!"

Haha Jim the tool sounds like an agent who was "shifted" in our market.. Anyway I have brainwashed myself with the following affirmations that I do everyDAY 7 days a week. I repeat each affirmation half way around the track OR each block I walk.. The ones I use EVERYday and say to myself are I am a magnet and opportunities come to me I am a magnet and everybody wants to do business with me I am a magnet to anyone looking to buy, sell, invest or rent in Real Estate I am a magnet to money and money loves me Everyday in everyway I'm getting stronger and stronger My words make me rich My phone makes me money Money comes easily and frequently to me Powerful positive energy "this one I really like and got it from Chad Goldwasser" I say these everyday to myself for the last 2 years and started feeling differently about my thoughts in about 3 months.. NOW to add to to that I play a hypnotic cd that last 20 mintues before I sleep on my ipod... All this seems like alot but it really doesnt take any time at ALL... Great for the thought process and def gets those positive thoughts and actions flowing.. Good Luck to all..

Affirmations are great if you do them all the time. They do work, slowly changing our mind set. Be consistent. Focus is power. Just stay on track and you’ll eventually get to your destination.
