Things to do in Washington DC: If you can't call people today on Thanksgiving at least text them

If you can't call people today on Thanksgiving at least text them

If you can't call people today on Thanksgiving at least text them.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I'm sure many of you are A) Watching my San Francisco 49ers text messaging
getting beat by the Seattle Seahawks,B)Too full from eating too much Turkey or C)Already in line to battle eager Holiday shoppers and start chaos and mayhem on #Blackfriday-Lord help your children. But if you have clients or leads with cellphone numbers,I hope you at least texted many of them if not all of them. Today on Thanks giving Day,I felt was a good day to text or contact those leads that you haven't ccontacted in a while. Unlike any other day you have a good reason to text them and wish them and their family a Happy Thanksgiving.

I sent out like over 30+ texts today and many of them were to people who I have contacted in a while. I just said. Hello Jane Doe. This is Lanre-Real Estate Professional with Keller Williams Capital Properties. Just want to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving . Hope to stop by your brand new house next year for Thanksgiving . Talk to you later. Take care.  Many of the responses were Thank you very much.  But some of the responses that I got were.

  • I'm working on my credit now and hope to buy a house this year.
  • Thank you very much. You can count on it. (That is a client of mine who should be going to closing on her new house by next month).
  • Awww. That is very sweet of you. Thanks.
  • One lady called me and she said that she lost my number and that she is going to lock my numb e r in her phone.
  • One person said Back at you. Good hearing from you and that I should definitely keep in touch.
  • One person said hopefully I will get this house next year.

Just like we Real Estate Agents have family members and friends that we want to spend time with on Thanksgiving,so do our clients. Me personally didn't think that this would be the day to be doing any cold or warm calling. But if you at least mention that you are a Real estate agent who is just wishing you and Thanksgiving, while you are not soliciting them for business at least you have put in the thought of buying a house in their mind.

I decided to text instead of call since Im sure they are probably too busy preparing the Thanksgiving meal, settling in from a long day traveling or probably will be bombarded from calls by family members, friends and colleagues that they wouldn't even have time to talk on the phone today.

I'm also going to text people on Christmas day as well. One more thing to add. If you are going to these stores to shop and get some of these #blackfridaydeals please be careful out there. But why deal with that crowd when you can wait three days later and get some #cybermondaydeals online on #cyberMonday ? But if you want to Search Washington DC Homes for sale online, please go to http://www.buyandsellnewhomes.com. Best part of searching for homes online? You can do it at the comfort of your home in your PJ'S and you won't have to deal with no crazy crowd.  Thanksgiving everyone.

Yes indeed we took about an hour this morning and texted a lot of clients, family and old friends.  A quick, easy and simple way to stay in touch without intruding.

Lanre, I'm too sleepy to text, so I'm doing it in a comment.  Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Did the 49ers win? Might be stupid to ask and I'm sorry if it is. Best of luck regardless.
