Pain at the pump has led to many business companies cashing in on trying to gain new business. It seems the nation's pain has been a marketing ploy for some businesses companies gain. Hopefully this gas deal wont get out of hand.
In Washington DC,two days ago,a lady said that she has been waiting in line over night since 10:30pm just to get free gas. I mean I have heard of people waiting in line for XBox game machines,Play station,Wii and/or the day after thanksgiving sale ( Black friday ). But to wait overnight just to get some gas? That's wild. When you think about it,I am glad that this promotion was done during Winter. Imagine waiting in line for some gas during Winter? You will have to keep the car running all night so the car can stay warm to keep the heat on. But by the time you woke up the next morning, you will probably be out of gas. And that is just a waste of time, money and gas-Is it worth it? I don't think so.
So Mr.Exxon Mobile,if you are reading this,or know someone who knows someone who knows Mr.Exxon Mobile, please lower the gas price. Gas prices would be good at the price of $1.00 a gallon. I heard it use to be that low back in the good old days-That was real nice. Due to the pain at the pump, many people have cancelled their plans of traveling to the beach or to go and visit their family members or friends because gas is just too much. It has altered many people's daily plans and has affected many people and families lives. We can only pray that gas prices go down soon.

Wow $1.00 a gallon! I would love for that to happen even if it is for one day! Have a great evening.
Lanre - That price will never be seen again. In many developing countries they have felt this pain for years. SAd to say, many will have to learn to tighten their belts.
Hi Lanre- Last summer we were complaining about $3 a gallon. The price just keeps inching up while we have no control- I say let's hear something from our presidential candidates- What do they plan on doing for the economy- Instead of bashing each other I want to hear some talk on important issues that involve getting the country back on track. It is crazy frustrating! (gas was 23 cents a gallon back when I got my first car- that was when dinosaurs roamed the earth)
When the interest rates rise, the value of our dollar will also rise and we won't pay so much for oil and gas. Something to look forward to.
Elizabeth-.50cents a gallon? Wow. That must've been really nice. But I am with you on the sleeping part. We don't get enough sleep as it is. I can't afford to lose any sleep. Have a great one Liz.
Lorinda- That will be very nice. You never know it might happen. Not this year but it might happen. Thanks for your comments.
Jennifer- I know. But wouldn't be great if it actually happened? Thanks for your comments.
Barbara- LOL. You're funny. But like you said,I will really like to hear the Presidential candidates take on this gas issue. Thanks for your comments.
Vanessa-But if interest rate rises, people who can even afford to buy now and should be buying a home but are not, will continue to rent. So it is good and bad- At least to me it is. Thanks for your comments.
$1.00 a gallon for gas two years ago? I dont remember gas being that low two years ago? $1.89 maybe but not a dollar. Oh well. Have a great weekend.
Lanre,
There could be inherent benefits to higher interest rates.
1) Conversely lower home prices.
2) Increased domestic saving rates giving buyers greater return on savings accounts etc thus increasing buying power in a passive way.
See what I mean?
Vanessa.
Vanessa- I definitely see what you mean. I didn't look at it that way. Thanks for your comments.
