All I can say what a year we have been had so far. And we still have three months to go before we count down to 2009. So far in 2008,several things that have occurred are not things that will make anybody happy or smile. These include:
- High oil prices, which led to both high food prices (due to a dependence of food production on oil production)
- Global inflation; a substantial credit crisis leading to the bankruptcy of several large and well established investment banks;
- Increased unemployment and the possibility of a global recession developed.
- Hurricanes
- Outrageous rising gas prices.
- Subprime Mortgage crisis.
- Declining dollar value.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that there are not too many good things going on right now. But despite all of the things that have occurred so far this year,I have learned that we should always smile and be thankful for what we have. It could've been a whole lot worse. That's why inspite of all of this madness,I still smile. It's always a great thing to smile.
- Smiling will make you happy and put you in a positive frame of mind
- You can cheer up other people making them more receptive to you. it will cheer up other people making them more receptive to you
- it tones up the right muscles in your face giving it a natural "lift"-Cost way less than paying a surgeon to do one for you for thousands of dollars.
- it is an instant "circuit breaker"during times of stress
- And the most important thing about smiling,it costs absolutely nothing
People say that they can tell if someone who you are talking to on the telephone is smiling. So make it your goal everyday to smile at people. Besides,there are too many people in this world who are not happy right now.

Hi Lanre - Smiling is a stress reliever and mood brightner - and can even reduce road rage. Even though things are a little rough right now, we still have so much to be thankful for and I intend to thank my lucky stars every day.

Hi Lanre, The way the economy is at the moment, we can't afford the other type of face lift anyway; so smiling more would be the more natural way to go and it leaves no scars :)
Good Post. I will keep smiling with you, and let the big man upstairs take care of the rest.
God Bless.
