Finally after years and months with candidates trying to sell us on their plans on why we should vote for them. You listened to them debate against each other, saw their ads run non stop on television stations and bashed on one another. Now the moment of truth has finally arrived. I just cast my vote for my choice of the next President of the United States of America.
In the morning when I turned on the television,I saw coverage of the some of the voting areas all around the country and was a little bit discouraged with the long lines. I mean I have no I-Pod to listen to my gospel music or at least Kanye West or Jay-Z (edited versions) while I waited in line to vote,my PDA is not twitter compatible so I couldn't twitter anyone and I have yet to set up internet connection on my PDA so I couldn't write or post comments on people's blogs. Maybe because I am probably going to be getting another one hopefully by the end of the year(That's another blog right there). And it was raining bad which definitely didn't help my situation since like my people I don't like to drive when it is raining bad.
But I wanted to part of history. And I didn't let anything stop me from casting my vote and miss out on being part of history. I drove over a hour to where I cast my vote. And to my surprise, there was barely anyone there. I was happy because I didn't wait in line and the process took like five to seven minutes. However I hope that doesn't mean that a lot of registered voters didn't vote. It will be a shame to be a registered voter and not use your power to help elect the next President of the United States of America. So if your President of choice doesn't get into the office and you didn't vote, don't complain. Why? Because you didn't vote. I just voted. Did you?

Lanre, there's nothing left but to watch the returns!
I voted two weeks ago, with little trouble. It appears in Dallas that those who vote today will not have it that bad.
Patricia- Absolutely. I haven't been following the results yet Pat but I am about to once I finish blogging. Thanks for stopping by.
Richard- That's great to hear. I didn't have any trouble either. Thanks for your comments.
You know I got the pleasure of voting with my wife, kids and my mother. We made a morning event out of it!!!
your friend in Charlottesville!
Charles- I am glad that you did. I voted in the evening. Thanks for your comments.
Love your graphic, Lanre! And yes - a very historic day. We didn't have any wait at all in Crofton, probably because there were more voting machines than in the past.
I did mail in ballot which was awesome, i can take my time and if I am 2nd guessing something can go to my computer and do more research. Colorado had a great voter turnout, I am so proud of my state and my country and I have not been able to say that in a while.
Margaret- I thought that I was going to wait in a long line. But I just walked in and cast my vote. It was a great feeling to vote. Second time voting but first doing electronically. Have a great weekend Margaret.
Tatyana- Woman you know they lost your ballot-LOL. Just kidding. Glad to hear that Colorado had a great turnout. Its great to see people voting. Since you have power to elect someone into office, you should use it. Have a great weekend.
Lanre,
I did ......the three of us went together, our youngest first presidential election.
I was at my voting location at 6am in the morning. It only took about 25 minutes. I think everyone should vote.
Greg-Great to hear from you buddy. I am glad you voted. People have the power to put people in office and they should use it. Thanks for your comments.
Dan-That was great to hear. This is my second time voitng but first time doing it electronically. So I guess you can say this is my first time. Thanks for your comments.
