DC Real Estate and Area Events: This is another reason why your blog didn't get any comments!"

This is another reason why your blog didn't get any comments!"

Ever wonder why your blog is not getting any comments? Well! I don't know if this has happened to you but I just discovered today another reason why your blog doesn't get any comments!"I wrote a blog yesterday called Five non featured Active Rain blogs that you probably missed 12/21-27. I was on Facebook this morning- I joined two Facebook Realtor Groups-Real Estate on Facebook and Find a REALTOR formed by Ron Lovelace. So since I have linked my Active Rain blogs to Facebook (Blogcast-Thanks again Jason Crouch for writing that great tutorial),I just found out this morning that I accidentally put the title "Free Washington DC Weekend Guide" 12/21-27 while I was reviewing my blog on Facebook.

Putting the wrong title to your blog is another reason why your blog didn't get any comments.  Image Ref: 11-52-8 - Glasses - Spectacles, Viewed 1807 times I need to get my glasses now. That was a very big mistake on my part. People probably saw my blog and didn't want to make a comment because the title of course is not something that they were interesting in reading about unless you are someone who lives in or not too far from Washington DC. So besides doing a spelling and grammar check on all of your posts, make sure that you also always make sure you have the correct title for your blogs before you post it online.

So whenever you finish writing your blog, make sure you put the right title to your blog. I typed the letter F and I thought I clicked on the "Five non featured Active Rain blogs that you probably missed 12/21-12/27" but I didn't. And yes this title "This is another reason why your blog didn't get any comments" is the right title for this post. May you all have a safe, blessed and prosperous 2009!

Hi Lanre, You're right  - the Title is what's going to get people to look at the post, and maybe even comment. Sometimes I think the Title is the hardest part! Thanks for the post!

Good title. It is what drew me in and it is what draws me in to all posts.

Attention to detail is very key. I learned this a bit in the Military or suffered the consequences.

THe title has to be intriguing enough for someone to click on it. I skim about 30 AR groups every day and only click on titles that "grab" my eye.

Thanks for sharing your tips...appreciated.

Hello Lanre,
You are correct, the title is an important "drawing card" for readers and comments.  AR has so many members, it is difficult to keep up.

Happy 2009!

Hi Lanre,
You are totally correct, the title is as important as the contents. I'm new to the who blog community thing and I have to admit that I'm finding it very hard to keep up with all that goes on in AR. Your post was very helpful.... Thanks

Have a Happy 2009

Lanre - Thanks so much for the mention here.  You are spot-on with your point about the importance of the title.
